Summary
Thermal power engineering remains a key factor in the development of the global economy and is an important component in ensuring the lives of people and industry. Today, heat and electricity are generated on the basis of traditional (hydrocarbon) and alternative (renewable) energy sources, as well as through hybrid energy technologies. Therefore, research in the field of increasing the efficiency of heat engines, improving the environmental friendliness of power equipment, developing geothermal energy, improving renewable energy sources, developing new energy technologies, and creating original mathematical models and digital twins are relevant and promising for science and technology. Ensuring the environmental safety of energy facilities is the most important task for scientists and specialists. Only a set of measures based on scientific research, engineering developments, the educational process, and innovative solutions will make it possible to make a breakthrough in the development of thermal power engineering throughout the world.
The purpose of this special issue is to collect scientific articles reflecting the latest achievements in the field of thermal energy, mainly for complex technical devices and technological processes in energy technologies. New, high-quality publications and reviews are welcome. Particular attention should be paid to scientific novelty and practical application of research results.
