Summary
We invite submissions to a Special Issue focused on advancing technologies to enhance the efficiency of wind power conversion, both offshore and onshore, for electricity production. Improving these technologies is crucial for the global energy transition. The large-scale deployment of wind power raises both technical and non-technical challenges, and it is essential to exploit its potential in a sustainable and efficient manner. In the current context of promoting renewable energy to reduce pollution, increasing the efficiency of unconventional energy production systems is vital. This includes the development of robust technical control systems for monitoring, protection, signaling, and fault diagnosis, as well as remote monitoring to optimize maintenance and operational safety.
We welcome original research papers on innovative contributions related to the following topics (non-exhaustive list):
Development of resource assessment techniques, modeling, and control algorithms
Environmental sustainability of wind power energy systems
Innovations in Wind Energy System Design and Control
Operations and Maintenance of Wind Energy Systems
Condition Monitoring and Early Diagnosis in Wind Energy Systems
Application of artificial intelligence in wind power systems
